How We Approach Movement Education

Purgingttorganic builds on five core principles. Learn what guides our community, challenges, and coaching.

Five Core Principles

1. Consistency Over Intensity

Small daily movement compounds into transformative habits. We prioritise sustainable, repeatable practice over extreme sessions. The goal is integrating movement into real life, not achieving perfection.

2. Education Over Instruction

We teach you to understand movement, not just follow commands. Learn why each practice matters, how your body responds, and how to adapt independently. Knowledge builds confidence.

3. Accessibility Over Exclusion

Every challenge scales. Whether you're starting fresh or already active, modifications ensure you can participate meaningfully. Movement is for everyone.

4. Community Over Competition

We celebrate shared progress, not individual achievement. Community members support and encourage one another. Comparison and competition fade when we focus on collective growth.

5. Listening Over Pushing

Your body is your best teacher. We encourage noticing, adjusting, and honouring your needs. This isn't about pushing limits—it's about building a sustainable relationship with movement.

Movement Literacy

Our approach builds what we call "movement literacy"—the ability to understand your body, recognise patterns, and make informed choices about how you move through the world.

Rather than prescribing specific exercises, we teach principles. You learn how posture affects breathing, how attention changes movement quality, how consistency builds confidence. Armed with understanding, you become your own best guide.

  • Recognise your natural movement patterns
  • Understand how different practices affect you
  • Adapt practices to your life and needs
  • Build long-term sustainable habits
  • Support others in their movement journeys

The Role of Community

Purgingttorganic exists because movement is more sustainable in community. Shared commitment, collective wisdom, and genuine connection transform individual habits into cultural change.

Accountability

Knowing others are moving too creates gentle accountability. No judgment if you miss a day—just return tomorrow, and others will be there.

Collective Wisdom

Questions get answered by people with lived experience. You learn from others' discoveries, modifications, and adaptations.

Genuine Connection

Movement communities build real friendships. Bonds form around shared practice, celebration, and mutual support.

Sustained Motivation

When motivation dips, community carries you. The presence of others doing the work reignites your own commitment.

Purgingttorganic is founded and led by movement educators passionate about accessible, evidence-informed practice and community learning.
